From long video to clips, in four steps

    Add your video

    Paste a YouTube link or upload the file. Then choose the options, or leave them on Auto.

    • Uploads: MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM up to 2 GB (25% off the per-minute price)
    • How many clips: Auto (up to 25, on videos over 5 minutes) or a number
    • Clip length: Auto, or 5 seconds up to 5 minutes
    • An optional focus, such as “only the pricing questions”

    The AI finds and ranks the moments

    ClipItX transcribes the video, then its proprietary clip AI, our own fine-tuned clip-selection model plus multimodal AI that watches and listens to every minute, finds hooks, punchlines and emotional peaks and ranks every clip by virality (hook, flow, value, trend). Deep Watch is on for every video up to 3 hours.

    Reframe, caption and trim

    Each clip is cut to 9:16 and captioned in the style you picked.

    • Standard layout: an auto-reframe locks onto whoever is speaking and cuts on the exact frame of a speaker switch (face tracking on Pro and up; centre crop on Free and Starter)
    • Facecam + screen and 2-Speaker layouts for streams and two-person shots
    • 60 caption styles, with reaction captions such as [laughs]
    • Optional Smart trim and Get to the point, +1 token per clip each

    Review, then export or publish

    Clips come back strongest first, each with its score. Fix any caption word in the editor, then download the MP4s, or schedule and publish to your connected YouTube channel. On Pro and up, Autopilot can do this on a cadence for a whole queue of videos.

What a job costs

A 1-hour podcast, 10 clips: about 110 tokens

Each clip up to 60 seconds is 5 tokens (50 for ten). The first 10 minutes of the video are free; the other 50 minutes cost 0.8 tokens each, ×1.5 with Deep Watch (60). You see the cost before the job starts, and unused tokens are refunded down to the clips you actually get.

How long does a job take?

Mostly it depends on the length of the video, because the AI watches and listens to all of it. Jobs run on our servers, so you can leave the page and come back to your clips.

What is Deep Watch?

Deep Watch is the mode where the multimodal AI watches and listens to every minute of the video, not just the transcript. It's on for every video up to 3 hours and costs ×1.5 on the per-minute part of the price; the first 10 minutes of every video are free either way.

Can I tell it what to look for?

Yes. Add a focus such as “only the pricing questions” and the clip AI only returns moments that match. If nothing matches, it returns no clips rather than padding the results with weak ones.

What if I don't like a clip?

Open it in the editor: fix any caption word, switch the caption style, undo any Smart trim cut, or skip it. Anything you don't download or publish stays private to your account.
