ComparisonClipItX vs Klap: pricing per clip, compared
Klap and ClipItX both charge for the clips you get rather than only for source minutes, which makes them easy to compare. Here's what each costs, what each does well, and when Klap is the better pick.
The short answer
ClipItX Pick it if you…
- want a lower entry price: $9/mo vs Klap's $29/mo on monthly billing
- clip long podcasts, webinars or sermons: Pro ($19) covers about 11 hour-long episodes a month at 10 clips each
- want faceless AI Shorts as well as clips
- want every clip ranked by virality on hook, flow, value and trend
Klap Pick it if you…
- want no watermark even on the free try
- post to LinkedIn or to unlimited social accounts
- need captions in 31 languages or built-in analytics
- want scene-aware layouts for screencasts and gameplay
Bottom line: Klap is simple to budget: a fixed number of clips a month. ClipItX is cheaper per month at the low end and adds faceless Shorts; Klap's yearly prices are about half its monthly ones, which narrows the gap. Try both on the same video.

Pricing: ClipItX vs Klap
Both tools charge for output. Klap sells a fixed number of clips a month: 100 for $29 ($14 billed yearly). ClipItX charges 5 tokens per clip up to 60 seconds, plus 0.8 tokens per source minute after the first 10 (×1.5 with Deep Watch).
From short videos (10 minutes or less), ClipItX Starter's 600 tokens cover about 120 one-minute clips for $9. From hour-long podcasts, every clip also carries its share of the source minutes: 10 clips from a 60-minute episode cost 110 tokens, so Pro ($19) covers about 110 clips a month, close to Klap Basic's 100 for $29, or $14 billed yearly.

How ClipItX tokens work: each clip up to 60 seconds costs 5 tokens (+2 for each extra 30 seconds, or 7 per clip with a transcript). The first 10 minutes of every source video are free. After that, each minute costs 0.8 tokens, ×1.5 with Deep Watch, which is on for every video up to 3 hours. Uploading the file instead of pasting a link takes 25% off the per-minute part. Example: a 60-minute podcast cut into 10 one-minute clips is 50 + 60 = 110 tokens; a 30-minute video with 8 clips is 64; a 10-minute video with 5 clips is 25. Clip counts above assume one-minute clips from videos up to 10 minutes; podcast counts assume that 110-token episode. Unused tokens don't roll over. Yearly prices are paid once for 12 months.
What would your workload cost?
Set your monthly workload, and we'll find the cheapest paid plan on each side using the published prices above. ClipItX uses the same formula as its in-app price estimate.
Klap units are clips; this calculator counts one Klap clip per ClipItX clip. ClipItX prices assume pasted links; uploading the file cuts the per-minute part by 25%. Free tries are left out on both sides.
Finding and ranking the clips
Klap finds the moments and gives each clip a Virality Score, then reframes with layouts for talking heads, split-screen, screencasts and gameplay.
ClipItX transcribes your video, then runs its proprietary clip AI: our own fine-tuned clip-selection model plus multimodal AI that watches and listens to every minute (Deep Watch, on for every video up to 3 hours). It finds hooks, punchlines and emotional peaks, then ranks every clip by virality (hook, flow, value, trend) so the strongest clips come first. On videos over 5 minutes you can choose Auto (up to 25 clips), or ask for a fixed number, and you can tell it what to look for.
Publishing and analytics
Klap includes unlimited social accounts and analytics on every plan, and posts to LinkedIn as well as the short-video networks.
ClipItX exports 9:16 clips for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels and X, and schedules and publishes to connected YouTube channels: post now or pick a time in the calendar, as public, unlisted or private. On Pro and up, Autopilot runs a clip agent that works through a queue of your videos on a cadence you set, then clips, captions and publishes to your connected YouTube channel.
